Social advantages of the Rostov region in the social field: the presence of the largest city with growing service and management functions, high entrepreneurial activity, a developed higher school and a more modernized social environment; higher incomes in comparison with other regions of the South and lower poverty; active reform of the housing system, social protection and the transition to targeted assistance.

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Rostov Region dated 07.06.2013 No. 350 "On establishing the value of the subsistence minimum per capita and for the main socio-demographic groups of the population as a whole in the Rostov Region for the 1st quarter of 2013" the subsistence minimum for the 1st quarter of 2013 years amounted to:

  • per capita - 6738 rubles.
  • for the able-bodied population - 7176 rubles.
  • for pensioners - 5487 rubles.
  • for children - 6970 rubles.
